Golden Age Adult Day Center may be a lower cost way of allowing those that require chronic care to stay at home and in their community. Keeping an elderly loved one at home as long as possible is a goal that many of us share. We strive to become an extension of your home environment with caring, personalized service! Have a meal in our bright dining area. We serve catered hot lunches, and morning and afternoon snacks and beverages throughout the day. Be creative in our fully supplied arts and crafts area or relax in our quiet room. Prolonged Independence: Adult day care centers promote a senior’s ability to remain independent longer by supplementing the assistance they receive from family caregivers with a unique program of health care services and activities. The cognitive and physical stimulation not only enhances their well-being, it delays deterioration that would necessitate placement in an assisted living facility or nursing home.
Enrichment Activities: We offer a variety of enrichment activities, such as painting, ceramics, wood crafts and cooking, which improve hand-eye coordination, provide outlets for creative expression and build self-esteem. By engaging in word puzzles, reminiscing exercises and discussions of subjects like art, history, music and current events, seniors receive cognitive stimulation that enhances mental acuity and memory function. In addition, games, outings, and special events offer opportunities for both group and one-on-one social interaction.
Appropriate Nutrition and Medication Management
Under the direction of our registered dietician, we offer a full breakfast, hot lunch, and afternoon snack. We also provide dietary monitoring/counseling and nutrition education.
